dads are Caregivers

Psalm 45:16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.

Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Colossians 3:21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.

1John 2:14 I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

MajorHOPE honors the family and specifically the fathers as the spiritual head of the household. Our instruction is God-honoring in comparing the Holy Trinity as the structure for the "family trinity" of father, mother and children.

1 Timothy 5:4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.

MajorHope acknowledges that the prototypical care giver in the US is a 48 year old female. In many instances, a mother is caring for her husband, father, mother and her children. The burdensome stresses of a mother as a caregiver needs special understanding, sensitivity and wisdom.

Our programs explore practical preparation as well as providing resources to help those mothers who are managing the care for numerous members of their families.

Parenting is a difficult role when the family is not experiencing a crisis. When a health crisis occurs, whether the children are young, or adult now in charge of taking care of their parents, often there is great stress, fear, unspoken issues and concerns and many unpredictable outcomes.

Our parenting classes focus on parents dealing with young children, and children caring for aging parents.  We also care for single parents and single parent children as we realize our society is dealing with many great stresses without a simply answer or solution.

Isaiah 38:19 The living, the living—they praise you, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about your faithfulness.

1 Timothy 5:4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.
